If I were a tarot card...

Hmm... something interesting that I tried this evening. Finals is just 3 days away and I've been doing nothing but burrying my nose in fat books. Got bored of studying and surfed around the net and I found this tarot card reading. Apparently your life is represented by tarot cards. I don't believe in such things, but I tried it anyway.
Here's what I get:

You are The Wheel of Fortune

Good fortune and happiness but sometimes a species of
intoxication with success.

The Wheel of Fortune is all about big things, luck, change, fortune. Almost always good fortune. You are lucky in all things that you do and happy with the things that come to you. Be careful that success does not go to your head however. Sometimes luck can change.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

Wheel of Fortune? I would like to buy a vowel. Gimme an A! Ting Ting Ting...
Yea... If I were to be "lucky in all things", how come I kept losing money at Genting? Maybe due to "sometimes luck can change"? Haha... frankly, I wouldn't want to be a wheel of fortune that has a BAD LUCK slot on it. How nice if it really portrays a REAL wheel of FORTUNE. Nothing else but FORTUNE! mrgreen That'll be great!

Ok, back to the books. I'm crappy. Toodles~

Lavender Berry Farm

I fell in love with these pancakes when I was in Lavender Berry & Farm, Pemberton. Without fail, these replica at home reminds me of the peaceful sunny morning, sipping coffee at the cottage's cafe by the lake, surrounded by lavender bushes and trees, and of course.. horses, ponies, ducks, swans and their loving golden retreiver. No rumbling motors, no terrifying news, no annoying alarm clock, no worries. Aah... That's life.

(Pictures taken from their site. I'm lazy to scan mine)

Sigh... Its been 5 years since. And this is one thing I missed sooo much about Lavender Berry Farm. Their unique pancakes! The pancakes are served warm with their homemade strawberry sauce, ice-cream and their speciality pickles. Without fail, these replica pancakes of mine reminds me of that place. Only difference is, mine doesn't have that extra umph and unique taste like theirs. Somehow, the pickles and place do make hell a lot of difference. sad

Hopefully one day I can revisit there again.

Creamy Yogurt

Yogurt is said to contain lots of healthy stuffs. Its pack with good bacteria, calcium, protein, B vitamins and minerals and lactose intolerant people are able to enjoy it without side effects. However, it's not easy to consume a tub of plain yogurt just like that. Well, that's for me though. Flavoured yogurt and yogurts drinks that are sold somehow has that "artificial" taste and smell to me. Especially the strawberry flavoured ones. I hate that. Smells like vomit cough syrup. rolleyes

So how do I consume yogurt? Here's a concoction that my aunt came up with. A simple dessert with yogurt goodness that satisfies my sweet cravings as well. It's creamy. The awful taste of yogurt is burried within the sweetness of the ice cream and logan. This has been my family's favourite since.

I know it looks icky. More importantly... it's yummy!

Longan Yogurt Dessert
1 can longan (in heavy syrup)
2 tbsp plain yogurt
4 large scoops vanilla ice-cream

Mix yogurt and vanilla ice-cream till smooth. Drain the longans and stir into the yogurt mixture. Best served chilled.
Serves 4

Even my bro can do it. Simple no? wink

His favourite photo.

Metamorph

You might have noticed that this blog have been changing colours, background, fonts & etc. recently. I know it has turned from pink to blue to green and back to pink again... And now there are clouds and a light house as the background.

I'm trying to 'middle' that darn title evil and modify certain things that I don't quite like about blogger's pre-made templates.

If you somehow know how to 'center' my title and remove that tiny blue light house, pls pls PLS do let me know. I'm bad with it redface and its driving me nuts!

Edit: Whee... managed to modify them finally!! razz

Annual Dinner

Goodness... I'm so outdated with tonnes of stuffs to do. cry A week of torment just went by. Gawd! Here's a brief of the annual dinner my uni organized on 13/4/07.

An opening performance by a 10-year old child. She can really shake her bon-bons!

Fly.fm DJs as our MCs! eek

(Last 2 pics were stolen from Ayu & Yvonne mrgreen)

The food served were pretty elaborate. Not too bad lah. Still edible

The menu was:
Marinated Wild Mushroom Salad with Young Asparagus Tips and Sliced Jade Abalone
****
Minestrone Soup
****
Grilled Herbal Crushed Chicken with Gralic Confit,
Polenta Cake and Honey Mustard Sauce
****
Chocolate Coated Hazelnut Parfait with Summer Berry Coulis
****
Coffee or Tea

Somehow the service provided by Shangri-La Hotel was a set back. I was served with buns twice, they took away my desset fork instead of the salad one after I had my salad (yea... they supposedly followed the typical western way of laying the table) and they forgot my coffee!! Can't blame 'em though... The waiters were practically hypnotized by the sexy belly dancer confused

Belly dancers are cool, except I'm still normal and don't drool nor hynotized.

The Mr. & Miss Nottingham competition on stage was lame and boring. No mood to even take photos of them.

A wannabe stripper just to win the title "Mr. Best Dressed" lol

There were rock bands performing their screeching music and screaming voices. It was bad enough to sit near the giant stereos. The sound system and collaboration of their horrid singing hurt my poor ear drums.

A cozy ambience of one of the hallways at Shangri-La. A nice getaway after being partially deaf in the ball room. You practically can sleep on the couch, no one bothers you.
The next day tell everyone "I've stayed in Shangri-La!" mrgreen

Delays

Darn... there're so many things to do. I have tonnes of things & non sense to put up here but sigh... Reports, reports and more reports to do till the end of this sem. I feel I'm being a scretary/journalist more than a wanna-be engineer. What's worst, finals barely in 3 weeks time!!!!

Will update soon with recent happenings. Right now, it's just I'd better drown myself in books and I hate reports!!!

p/s: Stress plays a major role on me.
